"This weekly feature is the place to highlight a great quote, line, or passage discovered during your reading each week.  Whether it’s something funny, startling, gut-wrenching, or just really beautifully written..."
This weekly meme is hosted by Bookshelf Fanstasies and I came across this and thought this was such a good idea.

I'm currently reading the Reflection Duology by Jessica Roberts and my feels are back from when I first read it in 2014.   Here are a few of my favorite quotes from Reflection and Reaction:

“Can you tell me why," he breathed into her neck, "when I'm holding you like this," he drew her closer, wrapping her snuggly against him, "and I'm kissing you like this," he devoured the tender spot along her jaw, brazenly making his way to the corner of her lips, "it's still never enough?” -Reaction

 * * *

“In my sleepiness I heard him whisper, "I'm in love with you.” -Reflection

* * *

“After kissing a few other smudgy spots, he turned her back to the car and while leaning over her to tighten the last connection, whispered in her ear, "You're exactly what I want.” -Reaction

Don't these swoony quotes make you want to read the duology?

I'm happy to say that since almost half of the year is gone, I've read 9 books. There's more time  (that's what I'm telling myself) to t least get to 16 books.

What reading challenges have you signed up and how are you doing so far?

The Why:

This was such a wonderful book that was written with such love, redemption, second chances, and hope.

"One of the many great pictures of my and I from the first photoshoot. This one was taken in an alleyway in Chicago Downtown. The sizzle in that picture was so real . Of course it would have been...": Audrey is a single mother who has been handling her daughter, Marissa as well as Gabby who she's a second mother to her.

My Best Friend’s Ex, an all new sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy is coming June 1st!

My Best Friend’s Ex by Meghan Quinn Publication Date: June 1st, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Photographer: Neil Danvers

When I found an eviction notice taped on my apartment door, I had two options: find a comfortable cardboard box to call home, or move in with Tucker Jameson.
Seeing that cardboard makes me feel itchy, I chose the latter. Which shouldn't be that big of a deal since Tucker is one of my good friends. And because he's still pining after his ex-girlfriend and I'm trying to finish my nursing degree, there is nothing to worry about in the romance department, making my last semester an easy one to conquer.
Boy, was I wrong.
Rules are set, dinners are made, conversations are had, and a shirtless, swoony roommate walks around in nothing but a pair of black briefs, ruining me for every other man.
Before I know it, I turn into a panting, lust-filled woman begging for Tucker to kiss me, touch me, and show me exactly what is hiding under those briefs.
But with great orgasms, comes great consequences.
Tucker might be my friend and roommate but he’s also my best friend's ex-boyfriend, making him completely off-limits. At least that's what my brain is telling me, my heart is speaking an entirely different language.

This recaps my favorites that I enjoyed during the month like those jeans you don't want to admit you wear almost everyday. Yep, those.

Afraid- Xavier Omar

This month I read 5 books which 3 of those were New Adult. I read some hard topics such as abusive relationships. I talk about how I feel they're written in books based off a book I had previously read and discovered new author this month.

I'm truly addicted to this show. Every week, the secrets, the lies..everything is addictive. If you're a fan of Archie, you're going to love this darker version of this comic.

Revelry by Kandi Steiner Cover Reveal

Date: April 3rd

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Revelry Cover_FINAL

Revelry, an all-new standalone from Kandi Steiner is now LIVE!!!

From the bestselling author of Weightless and A Love Letter to Whiskey

Wren Ballard is trying to find herself.
She never expected to be divorced at twenty-seven, but now that the court date has passed, it’s official. The paperwork is final. Her feelings on it aren’t.
Spending the summer in a small mountain town outside Seattle is exactly what she needs. The peaceful scenery is a given, the cat with the croaky meow is a surprise, but the real kicker? A broody neighbor with nice arms, a strange reputation, and absolutely no interest in her.
Anderson Black is perfectly fine being lost.
He doesn’t care about the town’s new resident — he’s too busy fighting his own demons. But when he’s brought face to face with Wren, he can see her still-fresh wounds from a mile away. What he doesn’t see coming is his need to know who put them there — or his desperation to mend them.
Sometimes getting lost is the way to find yourself. Sometimes healing only adds a new scar. And sometimes the last place you expected to be is exactly where you find home.

I had just grabbed my oversized hat and slipped my sunglasses on when I spotted Anderson walking up the drive with a large trash bag slung over his shoulder. He wore a simple, black V-neck and distressed jeans, an outfit way too dark and hot for the heat. A light sheen of sweat gathered on his neck as he made his way toward my cabin, his eyes hidden behind all-black sunglasses. "Change your mind?" I asked, not even fighting the grin on my face as I walked outside and leaned against the banister. Anderson squinted up at me, his boots heavy as they hit each stair. "About?" "Tubing?" I asked. That was why he was here, right? "Oh." He shook his head as he hit the top stair, shrugging the bag off his shoulders to hold it by the neck in one fist. "No, I have somewhere to be..." His voice trailed off, and even through the tinted shades of his glasses I felt his eyes on my chest. I'd strapped on my favorite boho print bathing suit and paired it with a dainty gold chain that wrapped around my neck once before dipping between my chest and crossing over my ribs. He sniffed, holding the bag out toward me. "I just came to drop these off. My clothes. Well, the ones that could probably use a little TLC." My eyes lit up and I reached for the bag, but Anderson snatched it back, brows shooting up into his forehead. "No frills, Wren." I threw my hands up in surrender. "I promise." He smirked, just slightly, and handed the bag over, tucking his hands in his front pockets. "Are you sure you don't want to come?" I asked, peering into the bag at my project before setting it just inside the cabin and locking the door behind me. "I can't," he said, lips pressed together. He was tense, the muscles on his forearms tight as he glanced around at pretty much everything but me. I opened my mouth to ask why but was cut off by the sound of a truck flying into my drive, tires sliding against the gravel. Tucker was in the driver's seat with Davie in the passenger. Sarah and Yvette sat in the back, laughing with their hands up as the truck skidded to a stop. They were both sprawled out on a pile of tubes, wearing bathing suit tops and tiny shorts. All of their faces froze when they saw Anderson. "Hey, you ready, Wren?" Tucker asked warily, his eyes moving from where Anderson stood in front of me, to me, and back again. "Yeah, one sec!" I called back. I turned to Anderson, but his eyes were hard on Tucker, jaw ticking under his skin. When he faced me once more, an anchor fell from my throat into the pit of my stomach, immobilizing me completely. Because even though I 'd tried to convince myself I was wrong, I recognized the look in his eyes. Possession. And when his nose flared and he took one big step toward me, our chests brushing, his hand reaching out to rest almost imperceptibly on my hip, the anchor in my stomach exploded into flames, burning a desire so fierce I inhaled a toxic breath and didn't let it go. "Be careful, okay?" His eyes locked on mine just before he leaned in and swiftly kissed my cheek. He turned on his heel and jogged down the stairs and past the truck. Sarah called his name, but he didn't acknowledge her, just kept his gaze forward until he'd disappeared from view. And then everyone looked at me.

By Your Side
Kasie West
Publication Date:
January 31, 2016
346 Pages

Being a fan of Kasie West's previous books I jumped when I heard she was going to write another book. Give me a book about books and honey I'm a goner.

Autumn runs into the library to use the restroom and realizes that she has been locked inside the library for the entire weekend. She learns that she's not alone and is stuck with Dax Miller a guy she hardly talks to. With the whole weekend in front of them, Autumn learns about herself and Dax too.

I really was invested in Autumn's character and how people with anxiety have to deal with everyday life and events and what can trigger it. She cared more about her friends' opinions than her own at first. But her lock in with Dax has helped her to express her feelings to them about her anxiety. I didn't like her friends because I felt like they didn't care about her. I really enjoyed her slow burn, swoony, but slow burn from friendship to relationship.

Dax is the last person Autumn wants to be stuck in the library. Dax is an air of mystery and rumors that he doesn't care to listen to or correct. He was very standoffish at first toward Autumn, but soon was warming up to Autumn.

He was a great fit by teaching her to express her feelings to her friends rather than just going with it. He pushed her as much as she pushed him and I loved that about them. Dax wasn't expecting to fall for Autumn and thought Autumn wasn't good enough for him. Gawd, this beautiful boy!

Final Rating:

I think is probably #2 on my favorite Kasie West books that I've read.

Forget all those other best-friend romances you might have read.

Jace and Isabella have only known each other…since kindergarten. And he hasn’t been secretly in love with her…for more than six or seven years. She doesn't make him bristle with jealousy when she goes out with other guys…that he’ll admit to. And she doesn’t get all flustered and confused when she starts to find him incredibly sexy…too often.

But they definitely don’t transform their friendship into romance…right away.
