Synopsis:

Everyone at Hundred Oaks High knows that career mentoring day is a joke. So when Maya Henry said she wanted to be a rock star, she never imagined she’d get to shadow *the* Jesse Scott, Nashville’s teen idol.

But spending the day with Jesse is far from a dream come true. He’s as gorgeous as his music, but seeing all that he’s accomplished is just a reminder of everything Maya’s lost: her trust, her boyfriend, their band, and any chance to play the music she craves. Not to mention that Jesse’s pushy and opinionated. He made it on his own, and he thinks Maya’s playing back up to other people’s dreams. Does she have what it takes to follow her heart—and go solo?

__________

My Thoughts:

A girl who just wants to express herself and follow her dreams. At first I thought it was going to not like this one and I don't really know why. But of course, I loved it.

YOU'RE NOT PART OF THE BAND

Maya is quite different from Miranda’s other female leads because she's a singer and had been looking for a break for a long time. She's recently got kicked out of the band she created because they didn't want to expand and sing other than rock. Maya being this amazing singer who knows she can be better. She gets to shadow Jesse who is this huge rock star. But soon she realizes that there is much more to the eye.

THE REAL ROCKSTAR

Jesse wants to retire from music because wants to repair his relationship with his parents. But his parents were big jerks who abandoned him and weren't supportive. Jesse really showed Maya the skill that she possess but just needs the confidence to know she is talented.

BETTER THAN ONE

I really love Maya and Jesse's relationship, because even though they told each other what they needed to hear even if they wanted to hear. They had their issues because the insecurities that made them have a bump in the road. I'm glad they were able to talk it out. I felt bad for Jesse because he was willing to put so much on the line and his parents who weren't putting any effort in.

Final Rating:

It was great to see how realistic this was because Maya knew the risks it would take to be with Jesse, because of who Jesse was. I really loved how they vibes from each other.

______-

I would love to hang out with Tori Kelly who I started watching years ago before she became famous. She is so down to earth. Have you ever wanted to want to spend a day with a celebrity? Who would it be?

XOXO, K
